Woodland History Conference 2011

The 2011 History Conference was held on Thursday 10th November 2011, at the AK Bell Library in Perth.

The title for our theme this year was:

'Community, woodlands and perceptions of ownership: historical perspectives'

Through this theme we sought to explore the role of woodland history in the growing community interest in woodlands and in changing perceptions of woodland ownership.  This was a very well-attended and successful day: many thanks to Mairi Stewart, Coralie Mills and Jonathan Wordsworth for organising the event and to the Forestry Commission Scotland and St Andrews University for financial help.

Please contact Alison Averis if you wish to be added to the mailing list for conferences in subsequent years and do pass on this information to anybody else who might be interested.

For any other enquiries, please contact Mairi Stewart.
