HOW TO HIRE THE TREE CORING KIT

The NWDG is making a tree coring kit available for hire to its trained members. Full details of how to hire the kit and prices can be obtained from the Hire Agreement. Please click here to download the Hire Agreement as PDF. Prospective hirers must read the terms and conditions in that document carefully, as their acceptance is a condition of hire. Hirers are responsible for their own health and safety arrangements, and for arranging access and permissions, as detailed in the Hire Agreement. Any enquiries regarding kit hire should be made to Colin Edwards, whose contact details can be found in the Hire Agreement document.

CHECKLIST

A checklist is provided showing what is in the NWDG coring kit - please click here to download the checklist as PDF. This checklist will be used by Colin Edwards to record the contents and condition of kit items on being hired out and on return. NB Hirers will need to take other equipment of their own to complement the kit, for example the kit DOES NOT INCLUDE compass, map, GPS device, camera, protective gloves, notebook, biros, personal health and safety gear. In particular, hirers need to ensure they have the means to record accurately the location of sampled trees in the field. Hirers are responsible for their own health and safety arrangements and permissions when hiring and using the kit.
