Newsletter

NWDG newsletters are sent twice a year to every member.  Having been produced since 1974 they are an invaluable record of our discussions and activities, and cover many topics not addressed in other publications.  Reports of our excursions, workshops, conferences and other events appear regularly and are eagerly read.  We publish reports from other woodland organisations, book reviews, and accounts of visits to woods in other parts of the world.  The newsletters also include articles on a variety of woodland topics, from cookery to management techniques and from politics to archaeology.

Anyone with an interest in native woodlands, whether a member or not, is warmly invited to contribute articles.  These can be as long or as short as you wish. They can be hand-written and sent by post or word-processed and sent by email. Please include your full contact details with any contribution.  Photos, drawings, tables and diagrams are all welcome.

Email the editor at any time if you have ideas or suggestions for topics or photographs.

The following types of contribution are always welcome:

Reports from woodland groups or organisations

Reports and research articles about woodland management

Accounts of visits to woodlands elsewhere in the world

Short items of woodland news

Letters to the Editor

Book reviews

Illustrations – whether photographs, drawings or cartoons

Previous Newsletters in pdf format are currently being installed in the Archive.  Click on the Archive page to see which ones are available.
