Every year we run a series of events for our members.
ONE-DAY EVENTS
Until 2019 we ran a three-day residential excursion every year. The uncertainties and frustrations of the Covid-19 pandemic made it impossible to organise these in 2020 and 2021, so in 2022 and 2023 we offered a programme of one-day events, to avoid these problems and to give all members the opportunity of a day out in the woods within a reasonable distance from home. These have proved so successful that we will continue to hold them for the foreseeable future.

WOODLAND HISTORY CONFERENCE
Our annual Woodland History Conference was an indoor event taking place over one day in October or November, giving members the chance to hear about the ways in which our woods have been shaped by history, and how this may inform plans for current and future management and use. This event has been in abeyance since 2019, though we remain committed to the inclusion of woodland history in our programme of activities, and might well return in future to holding indoor conferences, dedicated in whole or in part to woodland history.

NWDG WORKSHOPS
We also run workshops, over one or two days, on subjects suggested by members.
