Events

Every year we run a series of events for our members.

ANNUAL EXCURSIONS

The uncertainties and frustrations of the Covid-19 pandemic have made it impossible to organise one of our customary three-day residential excursions since 2019. In 2022 we are offering a series of six one-day events, to avoid these problems and to give all members the opportunity of a day out in the woods within a reasonable distance from home.

Click on the Excursion sub-page for more information.

WOODLAND HISTORY CONFERENCE

In October or November we hold our annual Woodland History Conference. This is an indoor event taking place over one day, and gives members the chance to hear about the ways in which our woods have been shaped by history and how this may inform plans for current and future management and use.

Click on the Conference sub-page to find out more.

NWDG WORKSHOPS

We also run workshops, over one or two days, on subjects suggested by members.

Click on the Workshops sub-page for more information about workshops.
