Join the Native Woodlands Discussion Group and become part of a community of people who share a passion for native woodlands, their history, management, conservation, and future.
NWDG membership is for individuals who want to exchange ideas, share experiences, and take part in open discussions about woodland issues. We do not offer corporate membership because the strength of NWDG comes from members contributing their own knowledge, views, and experiences that are independent of any organisation, agency, or institutional position.
Membership Benefits
As an NWDG member, you will receive:
- Two newsletters each year (spring and autumn), delivered as PDF files by email.
- Reduced member rates for conferences and other activities where applicable.
- Digital copies of conference proceedings from NWDG conferences.
- Access to our programme of events, including annual field visits, workshops, and other NWDG activities.
Most NWDG events are open exclusively to members. If you are not yet a member, joining is the easiest way to take part and become involved with the wider native woodland community.
Membership Rates
Our annual membership subscriptions are:
- Ordinary membership: £20 per year
- Family membership: £30 per year
- Under 25s membership: £12 per year
Subscriptions are based on calendar years.
Members who pay by standing order receive a £2 discount on the annual subscription.
If you join between 1 October and 31 December, your membership will run until the end of the following calendar year.
